Problem Description

Two switch devicesTwo switch devices are used as convergence devices and are configured with IRF2.0 features. Due to business requirements, the devices need to be expanded to a 3-device IRF system.

The expansion of member devices is required without affecting the existing network services.

Process Analysis

Step 1: First upgrade the version of the Switch to the version of the existing IRF system.

Step 2: Modify the IRF configuration of the existing IRF system, and add the physical ports connecting the 5820V2_3 devices to the IRF logical ports.

Step 5: Interconnect the IRF3/1 IRF3/2 ports of the S5820V2_3 device with the IRF 1/2 IRF2/1 ports of the peer device respectively.

Step 6: Power up the S5820V2_3 device. Three devices should exist in the IRF system after the device boots up. Configure the ports on slot 3 and save the configuration.
